Turtles
The South Carolina Coast is home and nesting grounds to a variety of turtle species. This giant is a Leatherback turtle, not a year round resident but mostly seen in the spring as they move north. In 2008 we saw the most leatherbacks on our tours we have ever seen. The most common turtle we see is the Loggerhead turtle.
