Vessel Information "The OSPREY"

State of the Art
When you go out on the water for an adventure, the last thing you want to worry about is the vessel you are riding in. Your confidence in the boat and crew is our number one priority This is achieved by our use of one of the safest and most unique commercial vessels available. The United States Coast Guard, military, and law enforcement use very similar vessels. If you have seen the news in the past five years you will have seen similar vessels performing major rescue operations.

30 foot RAIV (RIgid Aluminum Inflatable Vessel)
"THE OSPREY AT SUNSET"

The OSPREY:
The OSPREY is a 30 foot long rigid hull inflatable boat (RHIB) certified for 24 passenger. Do not be confused by the word inflatable. The hull (the part in the water) is made of thick marine grade aluminum. The inflatable part called the sponsons or tubes are attached to the upper waterline of the hull. These tubes are separated internally by five separate chambers. The tubes are made of Hypalon which is an incredibly strong and durable material. The tubes have nothing to do with floating the boat. They have more to do with it's maneuverability, stability and additional seating. The OSPREY is powered by twin Yamaha 225 four stroke engines. They are quiet, clean fast and powerful. This all translates into an incredibly exciting and fun adventure for you.

US Coast Guard Inspected Vessel
The OSPREY is what is known in the industry as an Inspected Vessel. This means that every year we have to pass very strict Federal Regulations administered by the U.S. Coast Guard. Every year we meet or exceed these requirements. In addition, Capt. Mark Collins has a U.S. Coast Guard 100 ton Masters license.
